Straw Poll Results from the 10/30/18 Candidate Forum

On behalf of the Cumberland 9/12 Project,  and in conjunction with Conservative Christian Center and Cumberland County ACTION, various candidates participated in the Cumberland County CANDIDATES FORUM, which was held on TUESDAY, October 30, 2018, from 6:30 PM to 9 PM.

We concluded the evening with a Straw Poll vote for the audience’s favorite candidates.  The straw poll was tabulated.  The straw poll winners are noted below.   Our purpose is not to endorse candidates,  but provide the public an opportunity to express their views, and benefit from the results of the straw poll.  Results will also be sent to our contact lists, as well as to news media outlets.

STRAW POLL WINNERS (and overall votes):

Governor:  Sen. Scott Wagner  (39 votes)
  • Less votes:  Gov. Tom Wolf, 13; Ken Krawchuck, 2.
Lt. Governor: Jeff Bartos  (4 votes);
    * Less votes:   John Fetterman, 1.
PA U.S. Senator: Rep. Louis Barletta, (9 votes)
  • Less votes: Dale Kerns, 4; Sen. Bob Casey, 1.
U.S. Rep., 10th District:  Rep. Scott Perry (37 votes)
   *Less votes:  George Scott, 11.
U.S. Rep., 13th District: John Joyce (31 votes)
  • Less votes: Brent Ottaway, 11.
PA Senate, 30th District:  Rep. Judy Ward (28 votes)

   * Less votes: Sean Quinlan, 7.
PA Rep., 193rd District:  Torren Ecker (32 votes)

  • Less votes: Jean Foschi, 8.
PA Rep., 199th District:  Barbara Gleim (35 votes)
  • Less votes: Joseph McGinnis, 11.
